* In calculating this figure it was necessary to determine precisely when Hannah will go to school, a decision we expected would be trivial. However, her birthday falls precisely on the cutoff date to attend the class of 2012-2013. She'd be the youngest at four years ten months when classes begin; or she can be the oldest child in the class of 2013-2014 at five years ten months. There are certainly good arguments for and against each option, and we'd love your thoughts as we get closer.
Despite appearances, Hannah is not yet larger than Stephanie. She's all of 24 inches (610 mm) and 14 pounds (6,350 g).

(John:) From listening to Mandi talk, I suspect her advice would be to wait. Older kids do better than younger kids in kindergarten (understandably) and there is no major benefit to starting early.
