Picture Day

We had first ultrasound check today and the technician gave us some images. Coworkers often bring in these little heat-transfer photos and tape them to monitors or cube walls, and I'd often found them underwhelming. However, seeing the images in motion was unbelievable. Still ultrasound images do not do the experience justice. Nevertheless, here are some still images. Click on them for larger images.

Here's your Kubrickian star-child classic profile. How about that: number 5 is barely negative six months old and we've already begun referring to number 5 as a star child. For shame the ego. This second image is Stephanie's favorite. She's not been able to tell me why. She just says, "Feet!" with unparalleled glee and then skips off. This photo makes her unspeakably happy.

They say first impressions are never wrong and you can never make a second one. This first impression says to me, "All these worlds are yours, except Europa. Attempt no landing there."

More pictures of Stephanie's insides as they become available.
